American Free Style Karate
Brother Bip Shandor set out on life’s journey many years ago hoping he would find love and purpose along the way. God blessed him with more loves than he could have imagined. In his journey of life, he found salvation and love of God. He was Saved and born again. He served God and country proudly in the military.
However, the Lord was not done with Brother Bip, yet. The Lord provided an opportunity for Brother Bip to grow physically and to develop and enhance his skills for his passion, karate. Karate became the center and focus of his life. It was through karate that he met his helpmate for life, his future wife, Fun. Together, they competed in tournaments and grew closer. Brother Bip opened his own karate school. He married his wife. Life seemed perfect. Although, the Lord was still working on Brother Bip’s life plan.
He was laid off work. He moved to a new town for a job. He was laid off work again. While constantly tested and humbled by the Lord, Brother Bip would always return into His loving arms. It was during a low period in Brother Bip’s life of valleys and peaks that he kept driving by a little church.
The Lord knows why this church stood out among a long road filled with a multitude of churches. It was a small, unassuming building filled with big-hearted, wonderful, caring, blessed people.
The Lord works in mysterious ways. In his early years, Brother Bip was engrained with a love of the Lord. In adult life, the Lord allowed Brother Bip to pursue his passion for karate. Now he has come full circle to combine his love of God and karate.
God planted the seed in his mind that he needed to develop his physical body. He returned to the church to grow more spiritually, surrounded by the loving presence of God. Pastor Davis recognized the passion Brother Bip had for Christ and karate. Therefore, Brother Bip was provided with the means to create a ministry of mind, body and spirit for the cause of Christ.
The best is yet to come. If you want to be a part of this growing ministry, please contact Grace Baptist Church. We welcome you to join our growing body of warriors for the cause of Christ.
The Patch = Each point represents mind, body, spirit ... the circle is God, who encompasses our triune being. God’s loving embrace is our armor against Satan.
